We had a fantastic stay at a beautiful villa in Tuscany. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hotel facilities were great, especially the pool and the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with useful information about the local area and booking wine tastings for us. The breakfast spread each morning was delicious and offered a variety of options. it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Almost perfect.

Drive up to the front gate and behold Villa Poggiano's grand long tree bordered allee leading to an equally grand and charming hill top villa lovingly restored and tastefully decorated. All of this on a very large private gardened and wooded oasis overlooking beautiful views of the Val d'Orcia. Skip Chianti. The Val d' Orcia is infnitely more beautiful and Villa Poggiano is the ultimate place to stay. Ps Come in the Spring when the fields are green and the trees are in blossom. Maybe because we travelled a bit pre season, we were upgraded to a larger suite.

The villa is beautiful and there is a spectacular view of the valley. The villa and garden are kept very well. The swimming pool is nice and is surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas. Breakfast is simple, but there is a wide variety and the dining room is cozy and elegant. Internet is free and in the villa there is a computer which can be used by anyone.
I chose Villa Poggiano because I wanted to spend a special weekend with my girlfriend and, browsing on booking, I chose the place with the highest rating in Tuscany, which was confirmed by other sites. However, there are several negative aspects that disappointed me and which, in my opinion, cannot justify such a high score. When we arrived at the villa we were closed outside of the gate because the owner was not home and nobody else was in the villa; the owner should keep somebody always at the reception, at least during the day, because she cannot handle all of the work by herself. The room was on the main floor and, as a result, a bit dark; I advise asking for a room on another floor or in one of the secondary buildings. In the room there was a fridge, but you had to pay even for a bottle of water! There were no towels in the pool area. A fridge with some water and fruit near the pool would also have been nice. The owner is friendly, but a bit hypocritical in my opinion. She writes in the welcome booklet that her villa “is not a hotel but a home to share with the guests”. This allows her to live as she likes, leaving people blocked outside of the villa, because in the end we are guests in her house and we have to be polite, respectful and not overly demanding (a bottle of water is asking too much!). I, on the other hand, did not feel like a guest, but rather like a client especially when I payed the bill which no friend of mine would have ever made me pay had I been a guest in his or her home.

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful, with some even having a terrace that overlooks the picturesque landscape. The large bathrooms are a treat, with windows that open up to the same stunning view. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering recommendations and making reservations for dining and taxi services. The breakfast served is delicious, and the pool area is peaceful and relaxing.
One minor drawback is that the town and surroundings may be quieter than usual, given the challenging times we are in.

Villa Poggiano is an upmarket b&b set just a few kilometers from the town of Montepuluciano. Our accommpdation was tasteful, spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly including the owner Stephania. Check-in was a breeze thanks to a lovely lady who took the time to explain about the facilities, the room and the local restaurants. Our only regret was that we didn't spend enough time here to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings - undulating hills with olive trees and the beautiful gardens and pool. Highly recommended.

Stefania. She was delightful & extremely helpful. The property was beautiful & well maintained. We were too busy to use the beautiful pool!
Would have liked to have dinner (other than room service) rather than having to go out every night.
